Recently, I attended a wedding in a church. My mom’s friend was getting married! As usual I always plan what to wear a day before the occasion. I went through my Mom’s saree collection, well because she has such good taste in sarees and other outfits (I get my inspiration mainly from her :P). In the process of selecting, I eliminated the sarees that I’ve worn before, sarees that were too grand or simple for the occasion. Leaving me with a wide range of choices still. I scanned through once again and then I picked out this beautiful Crimson Red Saree.

What caught my eyes?

To put it short, there were 5 reasons why I decided to go with this saree.

1. The Colour, obviousslyyy. I’m a huge fan of bright colours, cos they automatically put me in a happy cheerful mood.

2. The rich Pallu (the end piece which is draped over the shoulders). Another reason why I prefer letting down the Pallu instead of pinning it up.

3. The cut out border. As u can see in my pictures above, the cut out border is really pretty. I personally have not come across many sarees with cut out borders so I thought that was really unique.

4. The material of the saree is really soft. I love how comfortable it feels wearing soft sarees and also it falls beautifully when draped.

5. Lastly, this was the saree my mom wore for my Aunt’s wedding many years ago. I remember looking up at her as a little girl, admiring how gorgeous she looked in this saree. <3

Here’s a bit about the church.

The church is called Church of Holy Rosary and its located in Briekfields, Kuala Lumpur. The church has been around since 1903. I’ve not been to many churches as I’m not Christian and I must say, the stained glasses were beautiful...

There it is… what I wore for a church wedding.

XOXO
